Service Agreement

1. Service Overview

Ante provides redactpdf.io – a free document redaction service with certain limitations. From here on also denoted by ‘Service’. By using redactpdf.io, you agree to these terms.

2. Account Registration and Access

To ensure that the document can be encrypted client-side, a free user is created upon upload of a document to the service. This user uses an email address as identifier, but will only be used for authenticating with the service, not for promotional emails.

2.1 User Accounts

• Each account must be associated with a real person

• Sharing account credentials is prohibited

• One person may not operate multiple free accounts to circumvent usage limits

• We may verify account ownership and merge or suspend duplicate accounts

2.2 Account Suspension

• We may suspend accounts for violation of these terms

• We may suspend accounts suspected of abuse or fraudulent activity

• Suspended accounts will receive 3 business days notice when possible

Note that your redactpdf.io account may be terminated at any time without cause.

3. redactpdf.io Limitations

3.1 Usage Limits

• Limited number of documents per month (specific limits can be viewed in the pricing section of redactpdf.io)

• Maximum file size restrictions per document

• Basic redaction features only

• Processing time limits per document

• Any other limit, set at our discretion

3.2 Prohibited Uses

redactpdf.io users may not:

• Process more than the monthly document limit

• Attempt to circumvent usage restrictions

• Create multiple accounts to increase limits

• Resell or redistribute our redaction services

4. Acceptable Use

You may not:

• Copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer the service

• Use the service to process illegal content

• Attempt to circumvent usage limitations or security measures

• Use automated tools to extract data from our service

• Share your account with others

• Use the service in violation of applicable laws

• Upload content that violates others’ privacy or intellectual property rights

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Your Content

• You retain ownership of documents you upload

• You must have the right to upload and process all documents you submit

• We do not claim rights to your original content

• We may process your documents only to provide the redaction service

5.2 Our Service

• redactpdf.io and all related technology remain our property

• You receive only a limited, non-transferable license to use the redactpdf.io

• You may not reverse engineer, copy, or create derivative works from our technology

6. Data Handling and Privacy

• Your uploaded documents are processed solely to provide redaction services.

• We implement appropriate security measures to protect your data. Documents and data are encrypted using RSA-256 on the client before upload, and only decrypted in memory when analyzed and redacted. All at rest storage is encrypted.

• Documents are automatically deleted as soon as you download the redacted result. Abandoned documents (not downloaded) are deleted after a retention period.

• We do not store your processed documents long-term.

7. Technical Requirements

7.1 Browser-Based Access

• redactpdf.io requires a modern web browser with internet connection

• We support current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge)

• Service quality may vary based on your browser and connection speed

7.2 System Availability

• We strive for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime.

• redactpdf.io has lower priority than our paid plans for Ante Redact.

• Scheduled maintenance will be announced when possible.

8. Service Updates and Changes

• We may update features and functionality at any time.

• We may modify usage limits or features without notice.

• We may discontinue features or the entire redactpdf.io service without notice.

• Updates do not grant additional rights beyond these terms

10. Limitation of Liability

• You use the redactpdf.io at your own risk

• We provide the service “as is” without warranties of any kind

• We are not liable for any damages, including data loss, service interruptions, or redaction errors

• Our total liability, if any, is limited to zero dollars given the free nature of the service

• You are responsible for backing up important documents before processing

11. Service Termination

11.1 By You

• You may stop using the service at any time. We will purge inactive accounts regularly.

• You may request that we delete your account, and all meta-data (document redaction history, etc.). Deleting your account will permanently remove your account data.

11.2 By Us

• We may terminate accounts for violation of these terms without notice.

• We may discontinue the free service entirely without notice.

• We may convert to a paid-only service without notice.

12. Upgrades to Paid plans

• We offer paid plans with additional features with our product Ante Redact.

• Upgrading to a paid plan will be governed by separate terms.

• redactpdf.io limitations may become more restrictive over time.

13. Changes to Terms

• We may modify these terms with 30 days notice to active users via email.

• Continued use after notice period constitutes acceptance of new terms.

• If you do not accept changes, you must stop using the service and may delete your account.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Danish law. Any disputes will be resolved in Copenhagen courts unless otherwise agreed.
